Spider's Web IT (SWIT) developed from a local advocacy partnership.
A local lady needed a computer with specialised
software onboard.
There wasn't an organisation around at the time to supply free equipment, information & training
until SWIT was created in July 2004.
Original IT training support was provided by Happy2Help Technology in Portland
Road, Hove, where with Global Grant funding,unemployed volunteers have been trained to become our computer engineers.
We
now have the required specialised software & skills to sanitize any incoming computer's hard drive before upgrading &
refurbishing each PC to help our disabled members gain access to free IT equipment.
